Ka Wu Xing

is a 3 Player game.

There are 84 tiles including ones in Bamboo suit, Dot suit, and red green white dragons. There are no tiles in Character suit, or wind tiles.

There are Pong and Kong actions, but no Chi action.

Host (dealer) is randomly chosen in the first hand. In the next hand, the host is the first winner of current hand if there is one. Otherwise (draw game) current host will be next host.

Two winners are possible if they both win on the same discard.

Score Items

1. All Triplets: 4 pongs/kongs plus a pair. X2
2. Exposed Tile Hog: hand has 4 indentical tiles, 3 of which are in melded pong. X2
3. Concealed Tile Hog: hand has 4 indentical tiles which are not revealed. The tile that is claimed to win is counted as concealed in this case. X4
4. 7 Pairs: X4
5. 7 Pairs with 2 Indentical Pairs: X8
6. 7 Pairs with 4 Indentical Pairs: X16
7. Big 3 Dragons: hand has 3 pongs/kongs of dragons. X8
8. Small 3 Dragons: hand has 2 pongs/kongs and 1 pair of dragons. X4
9. Win on Kong: win on the replacing tile when the player makes an exposed kong. X2
10. Fire on Kong: win on the discarded tile after other player makes an exposed kong. X2
11. Rob a Kong: win on the tile that other player makes an extended kong with. X2
12. Pure One Suit: all tiles are in the same suit. X4
13. One in Hand: hand has 4 melded pongs/kongs. X4
14. Ka Wu Xing: win on closed number five. X2
15. Win on Last Tile: X2
16. Show Hand. when a player is waiting to win (tingpai), one can reveal the hand to others. When a hand is shown, it cannot be changed. The win and loss, sum of above items, of a shown hand are both doubled. If a shown hand is fired by a player, it is treated as win-on-draw but all score is paid by the firing player.

There may be an upper bound of one win. For example, X8 except that 7 Pairs with 4 Identical Pairs has X16.

A Chicken Hand is a win-hand without any of the above score items. It has the base score which is X1. It can be won on a self-drawn tile, but not a discarded tile.

Score of Kongs

Kongs have scores, as well as a win-hand.

1. An Exposed Kong has X2 score paid by the player who fires the kong.
2. A Concealed Kong has X2 score paid by two other players.

3. An Extended Kong has X1 Score paid by two other players.

   **Kong on Kong**. the score of the second kong is doubled. not implemented yet.
